كانت فترة المغول هي العصر الذهبي لنسج السجاد في شبه القارة برعاية الإمبراطور المغولي العظيم أكبر ، الذي رعى جميع أشكال الفنون والحرف. تم رفع نسج السجاد إلى شكل فني. اعادت نسج باستخدام صوف الملابس والأصباغ النباتية وتقنيات النسيج والحياكة التي تعود إلى قرون يتم تصنيعها بشكل مستدام.
