نسج سجاد المالايار الشرقي له تاريخ طويل ويمكن التعرف عليه بسهولة من خلال تصميماته شبه الهندسية المميزة بأسلوب شامل أو ميدالية. يشار إلى هذه المنطقة من إيران أحيانًا باسم “أرض العنب” وغالبًا ما يوجد هذا النمط في السجاد. لديهم أساس قطني وهذا السجاد منسوجة بإحكام مع قاعدة صوف منخفضة وأصباغ طبيعية.
